At Ashwood Recovery at Northpoint, we take public health threats seriously and have the best interests of our patients and staff in mind, at all times. Because of this, Ashwood Recovery at Northpoint has taken additional measures in protecting our facilities that include pre-admission infection screening for all potential new patients and in-depth infection screening at the time of admission to include symptom screening, temperature, recent travel history, recent contact with known positive diagnosis’ and more. Thorough and frequent facility-wide sanitization occurs in all locations with hand sanitizer and handwashing stations available throughout all facilities. Additionally, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available, symptom screening is being conducted for required facility visitors; with family and non-essential visitors cancelled until further notice. We have limited community-based activities for inpatient facilities and have implemented Telehealth remote video conferencing available for high-risk clients in outpatient settings. Finally, Ashwood Recovery at Northpoint has developed a task force that is carefully monitoring the evolving situation and making necessary adjustments in real-time, as suggested by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). The twice-daily task force meetings review CDC recommendations and make necessary program changes as needed, have increased client and staff education and communication, and continually review infection control and emergency management processes.
