They’ll likely follow a schedule full of activities with a goal of learning various ways of filling their time and coping without the drugs or alcohol. High quality rehab centers will also encourage patients to improve their overall physical health by staying hydrated, eating nutritious foods, and exercising regularly.
Inpatient treatment is usually shown to be the most effective addiction treatment method. This means that of all patients who complete a treatment program, those who have completed inpatient rehab are least likely to relapse in the future.
However, everyone is different. Outpatient treatment can be equally successful for some.
Outpatient treatment is actually very similar to inpatient treatment. Most aspects of the treatment remain the same, but patients continues to live in their own home or otherwise away form the facility. They only go to the facility itself for specific scheduled activities, meetings, and therapy sessions.
Outpatient treatment is almost always the cheaper option between the two types of rehab. However, it does not provide the constant supervision and and encouragement that likely makes inpatient treatment so successful. Usually, those who love an addict or alcoholic are just as negatively affected by the addiction as the addict themself. Because of this, there are also support groups available for the friends and families of drug addicts and alcoholics. These groups let the affected loved ones come together to share experiences, learn more about what their friends and family members are going through, and learn important coping mechanisms (alongside skills to prevent them from enabling those they love).
The most prominent of these groups are Al Anon, Nar Anon, and Alateen. Alateen caters specifically to older children and teens who are close to alcoholics. Outpatient rehab can be an excellent option for people who need that level of care. At Ashwood Recovery, our outpatient program is known to be among the best in the region.
We understand that people experience addiction and recovery differently. That is why we offer three levels of care. It allows us to meet our clients’ needs more accurately and help them to be successful. Our clients will be recommended for either partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient treatment, or traditional outpatient rehab. It is also not uncommon for our clients to start with one level and progress to another.
We have a location to better serve our clients’ needs. We are located in both Nampa and Boise.
People who live in Sammamish may find it inconvenient to come to Idaho to get help for their addictions. This is especially true for those who have a desire for outpatient treatment. Fortunately, we do have a sister program in Washington State called Northpoint Seattle.
At Northpoint Seattle, their outpatient rehab program is designed to mimic our own. It also includes the three levels of care, and they have many of the same services that we do. For their clients’ convenience, they have one location in Seattle.
People who are in need of inpatient treatment have nothing to worry about. We also have a facility in Washington State that offers residential treatment. It is called Northpoint Washington, and it is located in the City of Edmonds.
At Northpoint Washington, they provide both detox and rehab services. Their patients typically spend a week to ten days in detox, and then they transition into rehab. Because both are under the same roof, this transition is completely seamless.
Northpoint Washington offers one of the best drug treatment and alcoholism recovery programs in the region. They are certainly worth considering for anyone who needs to go to inpatient rehab.
People often put off getting professional help for their addictions because they worry about the cost. Going to treatment does not have to be expensive for someone who has health insurance.
Health insurance companies are required by law to provide benefits and coverage for addiction treatment. These benefits include both detox and rehab. Every policy is different as far as what the coverage includes. Some people may find that they do not have to pay anything to go to rehab. Others may need to pay a small copay or coinsurance amount.
